Bulls Go 3-1 On 25th Season Opening Homestand
The Lethbridge Bulls returned home to Spitz Stadium for the first time this 2024 WCBL for four games after starting the season on the road for the first 9 games. The June 5th home opener vs. The Medicine Hat Mavericks coincided with their first game in franchise history, 25 years to the day the Bulls played at what was then Henderson Stadium. The Bulls came up short to the Mavs losing 6-4. Lethbridge recorded a pair of wins vs the Brooks Bombers 11-5 on Thursday and 1-0 on Saturday night at Spitz. The Bulls biggest win of the season thus far came on Friday night when they defeated the previously undefeated Okotoks Dawgs on Friday 12-4. Lethbridge Bulls left handed pitcher Sheamus Ryan has been nothing short of spectacular so far this season. The Calgary product is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched in his 2 starts. Not a bad way to start the WCBL season!
This Weeks Home Game
The Bulls only have 1 home game this week before heading on the road to Edmonton to take on the Prospects and a pair of games vs the Sylvan Lake Gulls. The Bulls play the Brooks Bombers on Tuesday night at 6:35 which is also 98.1 Ranch FM "Rockin the Ranch" Night at Spitz Stadium. Bulls catcher Noah McNeil has had a great start for the Bulls this 2024 WCBL season. McNeil currently leads the Bulls with a .462 batting average and 9 RBI's so far this 25th anniversary season. The Ottawa, Ontario product has also been great behind the plate for the Bulls season.
