Bulls take the win Despite Rain Delay07/11/2014 2:51 PM - What started off as a beautiful night for baseball turned into a thunder storm with a rain delay at the end of the 7th inning. The Bulls continue to hold their first place lead in the WMBL by defeating the Saskatoon YellowJackets 5-0. The Bulls Starting pitcher for the night was Luc Hebert, who currently has an ERA of 3.91 and threw a great game. At the top of the 1st with the bases juiced, #32 Dylan Dyson came through with an RBI single taking the Bulls up 1-0 over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. Midway through the 2nd the Bulls lead 2-0, thanks to the Yellow Jackets error allowing #5 Evan Comeu to score a single. Neither teams allowed any runs all the way to the end of the 7th inning. During this time thunder showers took main stage, the umpires decided on a rain delay until it passed. An hour later the game resumed at the top of the 8th where the Bulls quickly started racking up points with a single from Mitch Dornblut followed by a yellow jackets error that allowed Bretton Gouthro to cross home and another error by Yellow jackets allowing the Bulls to score another run pushing the score to 5-0 Bulls! Final score was 5-0 for the Bulls. We continue to lead in the WMBL with a record of 20 wins and 9 losses. The Bulls face off with Saskatoon again tonight, July 11th. The game starts off at 7:05pm at spitz stadium. |
