Bulls Win 6th Straight in Swift Current

06/24/2015 11:55 AM -

The Bulls won their 6th straight game on Tuesday night. It took 10 innings, but the Bulls left Swift Current with a 2-1 victory. Both starting pitchers were excellent on Tuesday night. Pat Kelley continued his great start to the season pitching 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and striking out 3. His 2015 ERA now sits a 1.29, good for 4th in the WMBL.

Offense was difficult to come by on a beautiful night in Swift Current. The Bulls trailed 1-0 until the 4th inning when they tied the score at one. Third Baseman Ryan Pidhaichuk was thrown out at home to end the inning, which kept the score tied. It remained 1-1 until the 10th inning.  The Bulls loaded the bases, and a Pidhaichuk single through the left side plated the go ahead run. Jake Hansen picked up his second save of the year, striking out three Swift Current batters to secure the victory.

The Bulls will look for their 7th straight victory Friday night when they return home to take on the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Game time is 7:05pm.
