Field of Screams Grand Opening FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 20, 2023 Under the Lights Sports & Entertainment in association with our partners Prairie Baseball Academy, the Lethbridge Longhorns Highschool Baseball Academy, the Lethbridge Bulls Baseball Club, and Spitz Stadium.
Kevin Kvame, President (403) 320-2025 The 2023 Field of Screams Lethbridge Grand Opening Lethbridge, AB: We are excited to announce today the grand opening of its 2023 Field of Screams haunted house at the Lethbridge Spitz Stadium at 6:30pm. The Field of Screams Lethbridge is an exciting Halloween event that supports the Prairie Baseball Academy Scholarship Fund and the Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge. The Field of Screams Lethbridge relies heavily on our incredible volunteers, partners, and gracious sponsors to ensure the success of this fundraiser event, all while providing a fantastic Halloween experience for the members of the Lethbridge community. “The Prairie Baseball Academy Scholarship Fund program enables local student athletes to attend the Prairie Baseball Academy as they pursue their education at the University of Lethbridge and Lethbridge College. Community support is at the heart of our mission, so we’ve partnered with the Interfaith Foodbank and Sobeys to collect donations in support of the incredible community support services that the Interfaith Foodbank provides to Lethbridge. Collaboration between community groups is incredibly important, especially in these trying times, and we’re honored to be able to partner with these organizations,” says Kevin Kvame, President of the Lethbridge Bulls Baseball Club. “The length of the course has easily doubled in size compared to our first year, with the ‘Your Final Resting Place’ added at the end of the walk-through so you can enjoy a warm drink and tasty snacks after a bone-chilling adventure. With the longer tour, added scares and spooky surprises, we hope to provide an excellent Halloween experience for the community of Lethbridge – and our efforts already have the community excited! Last year, we had approximately 700 guests in total over the entire two weeks. This year, we have pre-sold that number of tickets... all before the Grand Opening! The Buy-In from community groups, business, and the people of Lethbridge have been overwhelming, and we look forward to hosting more guests than ever at this exciting holiday event,” says Lorien Johansen, Project Coordinator at Spitz Stadium. Throughout the span of Oct 20 – 31, 2023, the Field of Screams Lethbridge will be offering multiple ticket packages: · Advance ticket sales before each day the event is open. · Group rates for groups of 10 or more. · Concession packages. · Tickets will be discounted for those who donate non-perishable food items at the gate. · Without a non-perishable food bank donation, tickets are regular price at the gate. The Field of Screams Lethbridge is also offering online events until October 31, 2023: · The online Costume Contest and Pumpkin Carving Contest (details can be found on the Field of Screams Lethbridge Facebook Event Page here: https://fb.me/e/3Ea3Hz4BH ). · The “I Survived the Field of Screams” draw (details TBA on the Facebook Event) · The continuous 50/50 Raffle, where partial proceeds will be donated to the Prairie Baseball Academy Scholarship Fund and the Interfaith Foodbank Society of Lethbridge. To survive the Field of Screams, we advise the public to: · Dress for the weather. · Donate food items at the gate for discounts on ticket prices! · Adjust the scare factor to your liking (ask the volunteers at the gate for help with this!) · Please walk, don’t run, through the Field of Screams. · Respect Volunteers and fellow attendees. · Reward yourself with a hot drink and snack at the end of your walk-through. · Have fun! With a focus on community engagement (reflected in the collaboration with the Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge) and community entertainment (with the extended length of the walk-through, the addition of a concession area and the ongoing 50/50 Raffle and social media contests), the 2023 Field of Screams Lethbridge is expected to be a hit for the Halloween season!
