In a matchup between two teams who seem to be destined to play each other in the first round of playoffs, the Lethbridge Bulls downed the Medicine Hat Mavericks 5-4, bringing their record up to 28-23. Despite the loss, Medicine Hat still leads the Bulls in the West Division standings with a record of 27-22 due to winning percentage, despite the Bulls having more wins.
Logan Bexten was the starter for the Bulls, tossing seven strong innings, striking out one, allowing three earned runs, before Tevin Hall came in relief to toss the eighth inning, where he allowed an earned run, despite not allowing a hit. Evan O'Toole, the Bulls closer shut things down in the ninth, striking out the side to complete the victory.
Brett Mercier and Riley Jepson each crushed homers for Lethbridge as Mercier finished the ballgame 1-2 with two walks and two RBI's, with Jepson finishing 2-4 with an RBI.
