07/20/2019 9:14 AM -

The Lethbridge Bulls defeated the Edmonton Prospects 2-1 after a walk-off single from catcher Roger Riley in the bottom of the ninth. The victory gives the Bulls some breathing room in the WCBL's West Division where they currently sit in second place, leading the fifth place Edmonton Prospects by 2.5 games.

Right-handed pitcher, Logan Bexten got the start for Lethbridge, tossing seven innings, striking out six, before Chase Florendine came in to throw the final two innings work, not allowing a hit while striking out three.

Bulls first baseman, Kaleb Warden hit his 11th homer of the season as he finished the ballgame 1-4. Warden now sits only one homer behind the league leader, Weyburn Beavers designated hitter, Jack Barrie. The Frisco, Texas native now holds a slash line of .406/.486/.727 with 11 home runs and 57 RBI's for the season.
