After a rainout on Tuesday night, the Lethbridge Bulls took on the Moose Jaw Miller Express in a double-header Wednesday, with the Bulls sweeping the day taking game one 6-2 and game two 7-2.
In the first game, first baseman Kaleb Warden and third baseman Dylan Borman each crushed homers as Warden finished the night 1-3 with a walk and an RBI as Borman finished 1-3 with a walk and two RBI's.
For Warden, the home run was his 10th of the year, driving up his stock in MVP voting as we head down the stretch. Warden now has a stat line of .414/.494/.733 with 10 homers, 13 doubles and a league leading 56 RBI's.
All-Star pitcher, Ben Erwin received the start for Lethbridge as he tossed the first six innings of the seven inning contest, allowing only four hits before Evan O'Toole came in to complete the victory, tossing the final inning of work, striking out two.
In the second game of the double-header, Borman had another great performance as he finished the game two 3-4 with a walk and a double, as second baseman Ashton Roy went 2-3 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI.
Connor Breding tossed a complete game for Lethbridge, throwing seven innings, allowing only three hits and two earned runs, while striking out four Moose Jaw batters.
The Bulls now sit in second in the WCBL's West Division with a record of 21-18, sitting 7 GB of the first place Okotoks Dawgs.
