Bulls Stop Slide With 7-3 Win Over Brooks

06/27/2016 2:10 PM -

The Bulls bounced back on Saturday night with a win over the Brooks Bombers at Spitz Stadium. It had been a rough week for the Bulls who dropped 4 straight contests. After two very tight, intense ball games against Medicine Hat on Tuesday and Wednesday the boys had two poor showings against Brooks and Okotoks at home. Saturday the boys looked like themselves again and picked up a 7-3 win over the Bombers.

Trey Faulconer started on the mound for the Bulls and was effective over 6 innings of work. All told trey through 6 complete, giving up 11 hits 3 runs while striking out 3. The quality start gave way to three scoreless innings from Terrell Dorsey, Caleb Norton and Matt Beaton. The trio of relievers surrendered only 1 hit and struck out 4 Brooks hitters.

Offensively it was a well-balanced attack from the Bulls. The first 6 hitters in the lineup all recorded 1 hit. Travis Steinke and Lachlan Mayo chipped in with a run and 2 RBI’s a piece. Right fielder Mike Moffatt went 2-4 with a triple in the game.

The Bulls got a day off on Monday, and will return to action tonight in Brooks. Game time is 7:05pm.
