Happy Holidays from the Lethbridge Bulls!

12/15/2015 4:55 PM -

The Lethbridge Bulls had a tremendous 2015 season winning their first ever WMBL Championship this past August. From everyone involved with the Bulls we would like to wish all our fans, players, coaches, volunteers and supporters a very Merry Christmas!

What a memorable season for the 2015 Lethbridge Bulls. After coming so close in 2014, with a league best record, nothing short of a championship would have been acceptable in 2015, and the boys did not disappoint. With a perfect 9-0 record in the playoffs, the Bulls swept their way to their first ever league title. The boys had to overcome a lot adversity in the playoffs, and it took a total team effort to accomplish their goal.

As well as winning the championship, the Bulls had the league MVP on their squad. BC native Brandon Bufton was named the most valuable player in the league after a season in which he hit .359 in 195 at bats, scored 39 runs, had 18 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homeruns and 37 RBI’s. Bufton also chipped in 13 stolen bases, and was a reliable defender in right field for Coach MacDonald all season. To add to his incredible season Bufton set a new all-time WMBL mark when he recorded a hit in 28 straight games this season. Congratulations to Brandon!

Looking ahead to 2016 Coach MacDonald is close to finalizing his roster that will see a mix of veterans and newcomers. Some familiar names will be in the starting lineup this season as the Bulls look to defend their 2015 WMBL Championship. It is sure to be another exciting season at Spitz Stadium!

Thank you again to everyone who helped support the Bulls in 2015. Merry Christmas and safe travels to everyone this Holiday Season!
